Sandling Primary School

Our vision:

At Sandling School, although very much part of Maidstone town, we aspire to create a warm, welcoming and inclusive environment that reflects the values and tradition of a village school. Our school motto of ‘We learn, achieve and enjoy together’ underpins our aim to provide a rigorous and engaging education that prepares all our pupils for success in an ever-changing world. We believe in strong relationships, rooted in a sense of community and belonging between and among pupils, families and staff, that promotes a love of learning that lasts a lifetime. Our goal is to prepare all our pupils to become problem solvers, resilient, adventurous, creative, team-focused, independent, self-assured people whose esteem, for themselves and others, will benefit our local and global communities.

Our ethos:

• To develop each child to his or her full potential in all areas.

• To promote the spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development of pupils.

• To prepare each child for the opportunities, responsibilities and experience of life.

• To encourage children to respect and care for themselves, others and their environment.

• To develop self-esteem and have responsible attitudes.

• To encourage the enjoyment of living and learning and promote enquiring minds.

Our curriculum not only educates but also nurtures our PRACTISE values that prepare our pupils for the future.
